Hi! I am Norma Kawagishi. I live in Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture, Japan. I’ve been here for more than 30 years.　I had experienced teaching English for Primary school students before coming to Japan. My passion in teaching motivated me to build Orient English School.

In our country, the Philippines, English is being spoken by almost all Filipinos. Apparently, it’s because of our country’s historical background that we had been under the American colony for many years, after the World War II.

Shortly speaking we had been colonized by the Americans and eventually English language had been taught in schools and spoken by Filipinos since that time. That is why English is considered our second language.

English is becoming the global language. We Filipinos are lucky enough having the capability to communicate in English.We are also proud to say that our country is the third largest English-speaking country in the world,next only to the United States and the United Kingdom.

We are encouraging parents to expose their children in learning English as early as possible because having knowledge of it is a must in achieving greater goals in the future.



Orient English School also conducts classes with adults who are willing to improve their English skills.We conduct free trial lesson for students to evaluate their English Levels before we recommend a lesson material. In this way, we will both save our time by being able to see what we are targeting in our lesson.
